Service Description

Is there something "off" with your clothes? I can help! Book this service for an in-person appointment to discuss and evaluate custom alterations, such gown or pants hemming, tailoring the fit of a garment, or repairing a damaged garment. This service is available to clients local to the Central Florida area. (My studio is located in Sanford; exact address to be provided after booking.) The $60 fee is a deposit for your initial appointment, during which we will fit the garment on you and determine the scope of work. The $60 will then be credited to your total alterations invoice. (This is mostly to make sure you don't ghost me! If you don't show up, you lose your deposit.) My hourly rate for alterations begins at $60, with a minimum of one hour, after which the work is pro-rated. More intense alterations (beaded formal gowns or specialty costumes, for instance) incur a higher hourly rate on a case by case basis. You will be given an estimate of total cost following your fitting/consultation. Finished garments will be returned after your invoice is paid. Some garments may require a second fitting, depending on the alterations needed. Examples: - A pair of dress pants typically takes less than one hour to hem. (Pssst...bring more than one pair to make the most of your 1 hour minimum!) - A formal dress (prom, homecoming, bridesmaid, wedding) typically takes 2-3 hours depending on the material, number of layers in the skirt, and circumference of the hem. Very full skirts can potentially take much longer. - Adjusting the fit of a pair of pants is typically a minimum of 1 hour. -Adjusting the fit of a lined bodice is typically a minimum of 2 hours.
